BNP Paribas – Ace Manager Business Challenge
IE Business School students aged 18 to 26 are invited to take part in the BNP Paribas Ace Manager Business Challenge. Ace Manager is an innovative online game that challenges students to step into the shoes of a banker and experience the Bank’s three core businesses – Retail Banking, Investment Solutions and Corporate & Investment Banking. In teams of three, students solve business case simulations, combining management, strategy, marketing and financial know-how.
We are sure the recruited talent in our masters will excel as every other year!

The NEW YORK TRIP is approaching and next 22nd of October our Professor Kevin Spellman will be presenting it on campus. Once in a lifetime experience to get to know the insights of the Wall Street world.
TITANS OF FINANCE CONFERENCE
Next 24th of October our guest speaker will be Mr. José Juan Ruiz Gómez – Chief Economist and Manager of the Research Department of the Inter – American Development Bank
The Research Department is the sector of the Bank that generates new ideas to enrich the knowledge base that supports the policy agenda of the Bank and its member countries.
Mr. Ruiz comes to the IDB from the Banco Santander, where he served as Director of Strategy and Chief Economist in the Latin American Division.
For the past 12 years he has been a member of the Executive Committee of the American Division and has been a member of the Board of Directors of Banco Santiago in Chile, Banco Santander Colombia, Banco Santander Puerto Rico, Banco Santander Perú and Banco Venezuela.
Mr. Ruiz has also held various governmental positions in the Ministries of the Economy, Finance and Commerce. He was Undersecretary of International Economy and Competition and Chairman of the Economic Policy Committee of the European Union from 1991 to 1993. He was responsible for Spain’s relations with the OECD, IMF and the World Bank, where he also served as a consultant. From 1993 to 1996, he was the Chief Economist for BBBVA.
He is a regular contributor to El País and from 1996–2001 wrote a column “Butaca de Patio” for the Spanish economic newspaper, Expansión.
Mr. Ruiz holds a BA in Economics from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and is a member of the Spanish civil service as Técnico Comercial and Economista del Estado.

TRIP TO DOÑANA
It is not only about Finance, Social Responsibility is part of the IE core values.
Finance students can take part in a unique opportunity to celebrate nature and discover the Southern part of Spain! On November 14th & 15th we have organized an exciting trip to Doñana, the National Park & Unesco Heritage Site, where IE destines the Print on Demand contributions, as part of its commitment to the environment and reforestation.

- Jefferies Summer Internship & Analyst Program presentation. Representatives from the UK Jefferies office will include Bledion Sasa, a MIAF 2012 Alumni. After the presentation, a catering will be delivered in order for students to network with Jefferies representatives.
