Last week, China’s Ambassador to Spain, His Excellency Mr. Zhu Bangzao, visited IE Business School to inaugurate a cultural event organized by members of the IE China Club to celebrate the arrival of the Chinese New Year.
The event was sponsored by China’s Industrial and Commercial Bank, CCI, YouMobile, Casa Asia, China Club España, and Chinese newspaper Ouhua News.
Other participants in the celebration included company directors from China’s Industrial and Commercial Bank, Telefónica, BBVA, IBM, Loewe, Peugeot España, ZTE, BMW, LAVINIA, Orange and Hotel Ritz Madrid.Â
The event featured different traditional Chinese arts including dance, martial arts, face changing, Peking Opera, and singing and instrumental music.
China, which currently has the fastest rate of growth in the world with an annual increase in GDP of 8%, celebrates its new year next week. The Chinese new year is also known as the festival of spring, and is celebrated by the Chinese communities worldwide.
