The turbulence in the labor market caused by the global financial crisis has created an increasing lay-off rate in companies around the world. On the other hand, there is a new rising trend that many companies are trying to recruit talented individuals who possess a firm knowledge of both general management and finance, especially profound knowledge of financial markets, financial products, risk control and the new financial architecture and those who have the capability to drive companies out of the sluggish business situation.
However, professionals with this kind of expertise are still hard to find. In response to this, IE offers the Dual Degree International MBA (IMBA) + Master in Advanced Finance (MIAF) which will combine IE’s top-ranked IMBA program with the sophisticated and deep financial education provided by the MIAF, which covers leading edge fields of finance such as corporate social investment, securitization, leveraged buyouts, geopolitics, behavioral finance or Islamic finance, led by a dedicated faculty professionals, 90% of whom are leading practitioners.Â
Students start with the International MBA intake in April and will take the core courses of the IMBA from April-December, and instead of taking the elective courses during their last two periods, they will then join the MIAF program (which runs from Jan to December), making the Dual Degree possible in only 21 months.
