Like every year, this year the annual CFA mock exam offered by the CFA Institute Spain is taking place in May; however, this time, the exam is going to be at IE Business School. The exam is scheduled from 9.00am to 5.30pm this Saturday May 7, 2011. Apart from the students of the Masters in Finance programs from IE, the venue will also welcome around 50 exam takers from all over Spain.
At IE Business School, the CFA Level 1 exam preparation classes are the mandatory study content of the Master in Finance program (MIF, which runs from September-June), and is optional for the Master in Advanced Finance program (MIAF, January – December). The CFA exams are now accepted as the entrance exam in the admissions process, as a substitute to the GMAT or GRE exam (CFA Level 1 for MIF, and CFA Level 2 for MIAF).
A number of CFA Level 1 sessions, available from January to May each year, prepare students for the CFA examination. Members of CFA explore key topics for the Level I examination, including ethical standards, quantitative methods, economics, financial statement analysis, corporate finance, fixed income, equity investments, and derivatives. Masters in Finance students have several scholarships available each calendar year to enable them to take the CFA Level I exam.
