On Monday morning 11.01 23 students of IE´s  Master in Finance (September 2010 intake) and Executive Master en Dirección Financiera programs as also from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s investment program met for their first meeting – the first one of 17 more to come in a very tight time frame of only 3 days. This very packed and intense schedule with diverse meetings at important financial institutions was organized by Kevin Spellman, visiting professor at IE.

It was a great opportunity to get first-hand insights into the roles of different market players who shared their experiences of the industry. Students also had great networking opportunities & could obtain career advices from top individualists working at Credit Suisse, Morgan Stanley, Citigroup, UBS and others. Students met with professionals in fund management, investment banking, sales and trading, equity research and also got the chance to visit the New York Stock Exchange.  Getting this kind of exposure in New York, the hub of the financial industry, was a very valuable experience. The possibility of having an agreed agenda with senior executives representing some of the biggest players in Wall Street was an unforgettable learning experience for all of them – and all this combined with a lot of fun!
